Time For a New Kitchen

Lots of house-bloggers document their projects, but Eric and Flourgrrl are not only documenting every aspect of their Craftsman Bungalow remodel, but also including all elevations, renderings, countertop & lighting choices and more. Nothing groundbreaking here, but some good ideas for those of you working on such projects yourself – it’s certainly helpful to me; I’m just beginning my own kitchen remodel.

  1. I am not writing this to promote my own business but rather to make those doing restorations aware that they should expect photo quality representations of what there kitchen will look like. Clients are spending way to much money to not know what they are getting. For our clients we offer renderings such as this quick drawing

at a very low cost which is applied to the purchase if they buy. We also offer to just do the layout and drawing.

  2. Just an FYI to everyone regarding Thom’s comment – I’ve seen his work and can vouch for it being VERY high quality. So many cabinetmakers are not sensitive to the historical and social context of a house – he is. So many do not take a holistic approach – he does. I will write more on his shop & his work in the future – look for an article in the coming months.
