  1. i had the rare privlege to work on fayes davenport residence building the furniture, light fixtures and entry doors. similery john lautners final res project both incredable people so the same,so different,so to be missed.you never know what youv got till its gone.

  2. I also had this rare priviledge of working on the Davenport residence, while employed by Steve Ehlers Construction during the greater part of the year 1984. It is the single most challenging, artistically satisfying project I’ve ever had the honor to participate in. I framed much of the clerestory, made patterns for and installed the (up to) 9 foot triangular fixed double pane windows, made and installed the vertical siding on the chimney, also the interior baseboard (mitred @ 22.2degrees, + custom scribed into the stone floor),ext balcont ballusters and metmany other interesting challenges. Was Ron your brother? I think I remember you. I lived up county rd. 480, about 1/2 mile away next to W. Nelson’s old place- I’d enjoy hearing from you if you worked on this, it really was the finest residential constr. gig I’ve ever taken part in. Please e mail me and say hello when you get a chance. I remember you, Ron, Steve E. Art Obering,Bill Hastings, and a lot of other fine talented folks from this. Thank you for this site! regards, Bradley Trafton
